The Stand is one of the greatest books ever, the ending notwithstanding.  As excited as I am about the series, I wish HBO or Showtime was handling this.  It needs to go deep and dark and fully explore the characters.

I am also convinced that there are plenty of other creeps in Hollywood who are actively abusing people but are too powerful to be outed.
