A bit of a different take on this...

Not to be snarky, but do you honestly think most people think rationally about things like marriage?  Sometimes they know, sometimes they choose not to know, and sometimes they just don’t care and do it anyways.

Hmm.  You know, I felt the exact opposite.  I really like the show and felt myself slogging through the book.  I enjoy Gaiman’s style of writing, but nothing really interesting actually happens in the story.
