I think you’re memory have gotten tinged with nostalgia. People have been doing dumb peopley things like this since there have been people.

Yeah, but at the same time Spider-Man’s appeal as a character is presenting a more realistically apathetic/hostile environment and persevering despite how rough life gets. Superman having cops like this would be one thing, but Spidey having cops like this flies in the face of the not-so-idealistic worldview presented…

Saying “thats the point, its a super hero game” is not conducive to thoughtful analysis and dicussion, and serves only to scatter bomb the conversation rather than to engange in anything meaningful. All media and art is worthy of frank and in depth discussion.

That’s weird, because so many gamer bros online have insisted that fixing bugs is a simple backspace-and-replace, and that the only reason that bugs don’t get fixed is because those devs who work 70 hours a week for years on a game are lazy.

Just yesterday, after reading about Michael’s departure from Jalopnik, I was thinking, “At least Kotaku still has people like Jason.”
