“ongoing investigation” = Theresa May trying to figure out how to squash the fact that they removed surveillance of the suspect and gave them a passport to Syria during her reign as home secretary. The brits have a history of trying to disappear information that puts them in a bad light.

So right.

You sure? Remember Chick-Fil-A? Or how about the Dixie Chicks? It’s dumb for sure, but dumb is bipartisan.

I blame the left for starting this dumb boycott crazy, just the worst...businesses are businesses

I have never understood the desire to boycott businesses over a belief system. If you only supported businesses with the exact same belief system as you, you’d be dead of starvation in a week (or however long it takes for one to die of starvation). It’s impossible, and just sets you up to be called out on hypocrisy.

Oh yes, to assume it’s one specific group of people that did this attack leaves one open to more attacks from other groups.

because that’s the first thing we should be concerned with when things like this happen. what are those conservatives saying on twitter.

“If you are gonna go on Twitter be ready to get slapped by a SERIOUS wave of racism and xenophobia”

Kind of like when a white male commits mass murder, people here race to post comments about ‘white fragility’ and ‘toxic masculinity?’

Yeah, sites like Gizmodo and Jezebel that revel in group-think and promote an obvious agenda are easy targets for those assholes.

Never seen so many assholes show up on twitter so fast. If you are gonna go on Twitter be ready to get slapped by a SERIOUS wave of racism and xenophobia.

Kind of like when a white male commits mass murder, people here race to post comments about ‘white fragility’ and ‘toxic masculinity?’

And by the way, good for him. That’s probably really hard, and people should be much more impressed with what Michael Jordan managed when he played baseball. But advancing to what I can only assume is marginally better pitching with those numbers?

Yes, you did. Specifically, you said “I say that based on my knowledge of the Duggar clan.”

What the rest of the family did, or what you claim they did, has nothing whatsoever to do with the girls that were molested.

By “these people” you’re referring to the victims of the abuse or the rest of their family? Because they’re quite distinct and should be treated as such.

Right, Arkansas probably has some open records law.

That makes absolutely zero sense. This suit is MORE publicity for the family. It’s not good. I don’t think publicizing the guy’s past incestuous activities deflects anything. If anything, it will hurt him more.

There are ways to be careful redacting victim info without protecting the abuser.

OK, let me follow your logic here. You think that by suing a tabloid it is going to result in LESS bad publicity for the family? It’s going to DEFLECT from what happened?
