The timing thing really jumped out at me. That’s typically paranoid MRA territory but to see it directly acknowledged was surprising

Her defense didn’t have a great case. Hard to defend a defamation case when your client can’t stop perjuring herself on the stand.

I did not watch much of the trial, thankfully.  I did see Amber’s testimony which I think is what hurt her.  I predicted a draw, based on what I read neither proved defamation damages.  I frankly never want to see or hear from either of these people again.

“And yet, the scars of seeing how truly cruel the court of public opinion can be for any self-identifying woman who alleges abuse and assault are indelible.”

im 42, having to check that then type it has ruined my day

“Your honor, according to my client, while the woman may have had her hands up, the fetus failed to comply, so...”

He’s insanely rich because he started out ridiculously rich because of apartheid South Africa, I think you can guess

Imagine being that rich and that thirsty for attention.

As they should. Musk has fucked around with stock prices before. Now it’s finally going to bite him in the ass. Good.

I look forward to when all those states down there are that vehemently opposed to doing anything about climate change just pull themselves up by their bootstraps and don’t ask for federal money when they get their shit pushed in by one storm after another. I mean, it would be pretty hypocritical for people like Abbot

Towing.

If I was under 40 and in great shape, I might consider a Tacoma. Being north of 50, I prefer the comfort, ergonomics, larger bed and payload of my Ridgeline.

Congratulations. Just because you have that doesn’t others do.

Thermodynamics are the issue though. You’re running up against heat density issues in batteries without EXTREMELY expensive solutions. You’d need an absolute breakthrough in battery tech to get large increases in $/kWh and mass/kWh. Everyone just assumes this will happen, that it’s like making the next faster chip or

You’re proving my point. “Prices per kWh have fallen almost 90% over the past 11 years” does not mean they’ll fall another 90% over the next 11 years. In fact, it means the next 11 years will produce much less gain in terms of $/kWh and it’ll take significantly more research $$ to do it. You’re making a logical

Put your order in now for a Ford F-150 Lightning then. They start at $40k”

Who knew that the egregious lack of charging stations anywhere else besides the majorest of cities would cause people to not buy EVs? Who knew?

You’ve got valid points, but there’s a scale problem. A rich person buying a $60-$80k Tesla is one thing, someone making $50k/yr that lives in an apartment and has no charger outside buying a BEV is another. Someone who lives in southern Cali that doesn’t have to worry about cold related range issues is one thing,

Don’t think of the four chapters as a return from the hiatus...think of it more like a short hiatus from the scheduled hiatus.
