I dunno... I just got more used to the flexibility granted by FF7 and FF8 that FF9 felt like a step backwards in terms of gameplay, plus I wasn’t fan of the hybrid character design (normal sized body - gigantic head) -- either go chibi or go normal sized. 

I never hated FFXIII as many other people did -- I actually disliked IX way more comparatively speaking.

I got PS5 versions of FF7R and FF7RIntergrade, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Judgment and Lost Judgment — I also got all the PS4 versions of rest of the Yakuza series. I also don’t have much time to play so this lack of games has not affected me at all.

I can’t argue with that. But again, there’s so much about other shows that I could criticise just the same, and they didn’t get cancelled.

I’m questioning why they didn’t consume it enough to be part of a metric that saved it from cancellation, and inferring the reasons myself.

Also, I’m being reductive when I say to divorce the two, what I really mean is to judge the show without expecting it to beat the anime or mimic it word for word.
