Thats exactly what a cop in NJ would do too.

I did the same thing and the NYPD cops made me roll up the windows so he could test the tint. I got a ticket for tints with NY laws yet I dont even live in NY.
Some points on his license too!
Brake checking is now part of the job?
Damned if you go fast, damned if you dont.
Crazy right?....For cab companies to try to innovate instead of offering the same service they have for the last century.
As someone who lives in NJ as well, its quite amusing to read the comments about how people imagine NJ to be this scary industrious place. Oh well.
I sometimes even leave the car running in the parking lot when I go grab something inside the store knowing that barely anyone would be able to drive away in my car anyway. Good luck pulling out without stalling. That and my keys are always in my pocket since its push to start.
The NYC cops just use tints to pull people over and/or add an extra ticket. Also apparently they can give you one for each passenger side window. They “let me off easy” when they gave me a ticket for only one side.
I got a ticket for tints not too long ago. The $50 is well worth the privacy I get out of them. Also every damn blacked out Charger that state troopers drive is tinted with like 0% film. Cops are hypocrites. Besides, there are a few reasons to get tints besides just looking cool.
Would you say its worth it to have a small lease at the moment and save up for a large down payment down the road?
How do college kids afford those cars? Im about to graduate school and so far Ive only been able to barely keep up with my leased car working 2 part time jobs for almost 3 yrs of my college time.
If theyre going to offer automatics for the WRX, I REALLY think Subaru needs to develop a DCT for it. No one is buying a WRX as an economy car...
Yeah the Honda manual is obviously better.
Enthusiasts stick with buying manual used cars. Car companies dont make money off this, so they stop offering manuals. No offense to you personally, but that is exactly the reason manuals are drying here. What are you going to buy 10-20 years down the road when the only used cars available are CVTs?
Its really not THAT bad in traffic. You simply just do it. Sure automatic you is easier, but if im in NYC traffic in my 6 speed, I just drive because I have to. Then you get the opportunity to go into second and speed off.
Its funny how people complain about leasing and manuals, yet enthusiasts most of the time tend to go for used cars. Sure we save money with buying used cars but this is exactly why companies have no incentive to continue to produce manuals. If people bought and leased manuals then they would produce more.
Really not what happened to me. Leased one car and returned it with dents(and broken skid plate or whatever its called) and over mileage and they didnt charge me for anything but the extra mileage. Now im leasing another ( a manual actually) and might or might not buy at the end.
Stupid thinking that doesnt actually make us any safer.
It wont.
