That's actually common though for most accidents. Takeoff and landing is when most airline accidents happen. It's actually rarer for them to be happening mid-flight.

The only similarity was they were landing. That's it. The BA incident required the contributing factor that it was cold not only in the air but near the ground too.

Actually rarely. Almost always the pilot either radios in a issue or it's so catastrophic they are destroyed before they radio in. And most times they don't radio in its because they themselves cause a "controlled decent into the ground" ie the pilot flew themselves into the ground.
