There are likely multiple ways to solve it as this one relies on the timing of the ghost and the radio, but those can be synchronized to one another in which this method no longer works. AI probably told not to waste mana. AI does a play that doesn't waste mana and doesn't damage self or own creatures and does not prevent anything that could possibly attack from attacking.
