It works by provoking a strong immune response. Since I have never had responses to vaccines stronger than a little soreness at the site, I did not know what to expect. I feel like it should be confidence-boosting and a good sign of the immunity I get from it.

To be clear, Darwin lives in Texas and I live on the shores of Lake Erie, so I don’t have him nearby. I do get a steady stream of pictures, videos, and updates from my sister-in-law, though, which helps.
