So am I.
So am I.
Also, I do really like this style of lamp. It adds an extra bit of interest to the room, and a bunch of light as well.
Design is important to me, but the things I wanted most in my furniture were sturdiness, comfort, and ample space. The couch cushions and pillows are still a bit stiff, but they're getting better the more I walk on them.
Oh, if it wasn’t clear, it was a real fire. They had to use the hoses, and I guess the smoke was pretty thick on the twelfth floor. It just was caused by a grilled cheese that caught fire and then burnt up the pan.
They're not enforcing the policy, though. The whole point of the article was that people violate the policy all the time, and the only consequence is that Disney Photoshops masks on them so it looks like everyone is complying. It's CYA behavior.
Thank you, and yeah, could have been worse, though I am not sure how the residents of that apartment fared after the fire started.
I have made progress on setting up my apartment, and I thought that would be my excitement for the week. I mean, it’s solid progress, given how little I want to do.
Alas, the figure is closer to 300,000 instead of 250,000.
Have a star, you legend.
It's the reason for the season.
Why else would Ellen and Portia go on a weeklong shopping trip to Santa Barbara? It's not like anything they needed or wanted couldn't be delivered to them. The desire to be seen triumphs over all, and they can buy access to the limited supply of monoclonal antibody treatments. (The health system I work for has…
Exactly. For one, Rudy has *asked* for $20,000/day, but he hasn't been paid anything yet. It seems highly out of character for Trump to pay him at all, let alone to pay him that much, failures or not.
I really wish everyone, Rep. Porter included, would stop using the phrase “working women” when they mean “working mothers.” Not all women who work are mothers. Not all mothers have the option not to work. Women of color, mothers or not, have always had to work. Working class women have always had to work. Unmarried,…
This is true. One of the things I learned during the fight for marriage equality is that there are over 1,100 federal laws affected by marital status.
Agreed. And if you are in a relationship that survived the stress and tumult of this year, I think you have one for the ages. My brother and his partner had just started living together four days a week when NYC went into lockdown and they were both told to work from home. They just moved into a bigger apartment and…

It sounds like you internalize instead of venting. That's what has me concerned.
Whatever you need, we can figure it out together. I have learned a thing or two about creating seismic changes in your own life.
If six years of therapy have taught me anything, it’s that everyone needs a safe place to vent. Even tea kettles have to let off steam in order to work properly (note to self - you forgot to pour your tea again).
