Absolutely agree. By now, it’s become a design shortcut, which makes sense in some context, but does not work in others.

The pile of shame has had couple of effects on my playing habits.

They got data scientist modelling consumer behavior.. they probably figured out that they’ll come out ahead with this business model. My guess is ppl like me who won’t buy a full game at $60 will be more willing to try and keep Xbox game pass pc for $5. Which is $5 more than MS would have gotten.

i uh... i felt the same way... not that i wanted him to die, necessarily, but so that he can wake up &feel an ounce of sympathy for others or fear of God for a change...

Now if only I could convince someone to play this with me....

i was in the same boat. signed up for xbox game pass and made good use of it. now that i’m back at work, no time for games.... for next few years until the child grows up and can game with me :]

The bigger problem with these launchers is that your purchases may one day just disappear with the company behind the launcher.  

Yah American definition of ‘whatever makes you happy’ is so simplistic. No wonder this country has an opioid crisis, horrible education system, obeseity problem, etc. Do drugs, don't study, eat whatever because it's whatever makes you happy.

Farcry2 is one of those games where the designer probably had more fun designing the game than the players playing the game.

nice try :) there are exclusives on every platform. In fact PCs have more exclusives than any other platform.
