Maybe you don’t remember, but did you interact with any StemExpress employees to give consent for the fetal tissue donation? I just find that part of her story so very unlikely. Why on earth would StemExpress employees be interacting with patients? Seems very weird to me.

Exactly. Help science!

You make some good points. But on the point of decriminalizing increasing the quality if clientele, I suspect that certain types of john who enjoy hurting/abusing will just go to a sex worker that is NOT requiring ID, that is accepting cash, etc. It will be the most disadvantaged women who are still affected by abuse

I think most people who have trouble with this position are not at all in favour of criminalizing sex workers. Their issue is with the decriminalization of johns and pimps, not the sex workers.

My question was not “why is it wrong to rape a prostitute” or “how can it be rape if he paid?” Who are you even talking to?

What? Why would people ask her what’s in the box? This lady is lying so much.

Soooo...is this how it really goes? StemExpress goes looking for a “15 week fetus” on a day-by-day basis? Like tomorrow they want something else? I’m not believing a word of this. What I DO believe is there is an ongoing contract for StemExpress to pickup whatever is available. Maybe they will reject if it’s not what

Ik, why would you care? My boyfriend was like “that’s creepy” and I was like “how?” And I’m the one that could have a baby in my body, so if it doesn’t bother me how can it bother him? Give it to science, at least it can do some good for the world then.

The headline is about underarm hair but halfway through the article we are talking about sweating? I’m confused.

I mean, it’s super weird that he really believed his children were possessed by demons. I’m kinda stuck on that one. You believed your children were possessed, so you gave them away?

Yes, giving your children away to someone else because they are troubled seems the Christian thing to do.

Whoah, I wasn’t advocating that SHE should be arrested. My question is, why is Amnesty’s position better than the Nordic Model: how does decriminalizing HIM, the john, help HER with her rape case?

Yes, it does. A pimp or a john is not necessarily someone who purchases services of a trafficked person. I think you’re misunderstanding.

Well, I don’t think ‘sex is icky and all sex work is slavery’ is anyone’s position on the issue, although it is often framed that way.

Considering all the misogynistic comments on youtube, is it *really* that interesting?

White privilege? What is more “white privilege”-d than thinking that all sex workers are making a free choice? That is the experience of the minority, a privileged minority, and yet we are pretending that everyone in prostitution is there because that’s what they really want to do.

But how does decriminalization for the johns help her? Being against Amnesty’s position of full decriminalization DOES NOT mean people want sex workers to be criminalized.

No, the Nordic model decriminalizes sex work for the sex workers. Amnesty is not coming up with some new idea that is saving sex workers from the legal system. People’s issue with Amnesty’s position is that it decriminalizes pimps and johns.

I found this quote interesting. It’s as if she’s almost on to something there...

That’s one of my biggest irks, along with “reverse racism”.
