So you’re saying that it was intentional that it looked like a remaster of an old game instead of like the cutting edge next gen AAA game? I find that very, very hard to believe but if it's true.... well, it certainly is a choice.

Yeah, the next big tech leap in graphics is ray tracing and really, I don’t expect us to be able to do full scale RT at current gen levels of quality for a good 10 years if not longer. Till then it’s probably going to remain more about better performance than about truly significant boosts in quality.
As I suspected, for the reveals in both consoles, almost everything they showed looked like it could have been made for the current gen. You’re getting roughly the same level of quality, just with higher frames and resolution. Which is nice but doesn’t feel like a “next generation” nor a compelling reason to spend…
It’s not about 8 bit vs 16 bit or whatever else, it’s about seeing artists - often ones who are clearly talented aping other people’s old style instead of creating something that’s their own. In that sense, I think the hunger for nostalgia is stifling a lot of people’s creativity. Specially since so often it’s not…
Or even better - indie developers, please stop aping old styles and create a new distinct style of your own.
From my perspective, I don't need to know anything about a game until the creators know it's pretty much done and can tell me the exact release/ship date. All the stuff that comes before that is great for marketing teams to generate excitement, which I don't begrudge them, but I don't think it ultimately benefits the…
I speak only truths! Wake up, sheeple!
Reading through these comments, I’m surprised how many people are suffering from the delusion that the Sonic games were ever particularly good. Very strange.
Um, why are there so many non-platforming games on this list? Weird.
It's so surprising how someone who is clearly gifted artist is so consistently bad at this. The random bubble placement is very bad but the worst part imo is that quirk of putting small panels inside of big panels in a way that breaks the flow of everything.
This is your semi-regular reminder that I, yovargas, think Corpse Run is a very not good comic.
There was a Nintendo direct recently where they announced a Bakugan game. People were excited because Nintendo announced there would be a new franchise reveal. Safe to say, the Bakugan reveal did not satisfy many peoples hope.
I think these critters and their art style are approximately 800 times more appealing and endearing than your typical Pokemon, and the dance battle sounds very clever. Hope this does well!
There has literally never been such a time.
I'm not sure that this proves there's no penis considering this seems to show that his pants are not unzipped....
I suspect the people who are deeply concerned about it’s portrayal of Japanese culture generally won’t really care that much about what actual Japanese culture thinks of it.
Another AAA Open World Game: Japan Edition
I really, really hate that the online world is so damn harshly judgmental that some people are terrified of mildly expressing a dissenting opinion. It’s an ugly look for this site and it’s audience if a poster like this doesn’t feel like they can share their thoughts without getting trampled.
Prooooobably in bad taste but considering the meaning of the message is still plenty valuable and relevant and worth thinking about, I certainly don't mind if more people hear even if the context isn't perfect. If t makes even a tiny portion of its audience to reflect on their political attitudes, then it will have…
Would love to know what the life time sales on this are. I know the initial sales were disappointing but the game has had such strong and long lasting word of mouth that it seems very possible that it eventually, quietly became a solid commercial success.
