Funny you say that because earlier this year I compiled a list of my 100 All Time Favorite songs. The bulk of them, roughly half, were from 95-05. Only one was from this decade.
“I don’t think there was a single top-50 alltimer on my list of the best games of 2019. I think my list of the 10 best games of the 2010s might have only contained one. Miraculously, all 10 of my top 10 games of 1994 are alltimers.”
There is a name for this and that name is nostalgia.
“...but my boyfriend definitely does react like he’s been hit by some kind of anime magical girl attack every time he sees me in a new outfit.”
Me: Uh oh, one of these comics mentions The Last Jedi, I guess the comments can now only be about The Last Jedi.
Why is GoT on this list of video game disappointments? Am I missing something? Or was its disappointment just so vast that it transcended all media?
Twinsen! I played this game so much way back when!

And yet the US never had to build a wall to try and keep people from fleeing it’s awful oppression.
This is a massive cop-out response. This isn’t “some subset of his followers became brutal authoritarian regimes”, it's “Every government influenced by these ideas becomes a brutal authoritarian regime”. I’ll take one skateboarding bird to go, please.
This isn't very good reasoning considering that Jeopardy is chock full of questions about things the vast majority of people don't know or care about. They certainly ask about stuff far more niche and obscure than Pokemon all the time. Asking a few basic, entry level questions is not something that should be too out…
I really like how those models look like they are filled with hate and have never known joy.
Just from memory of the top of my head - what about Doom and Wolfenstein and Farcry and Dark Souls and Bloodborne and Control and Outer Wilds and Gears of War and Borderlands and Assassin’s Creed and Tomb Raider and the new Star Wars and probably a dozen others I’m not remembering? Not sure which of those are on…
