I’m sorry but DeRay’s shoes and socks are awful. Not defending Jack Dorsey, but still.

I see your point, but I do have a few beefs. I knew one girl who continued working after she contracted an STD, and she never told anyone but her doctor (and I’m certain the john who gave it to her didn’t do shit). I agree with no licensing, and I also agree no brothels, but some sort of health and safety standard

I only disagree with your last sentence. I am for legalization. Rape and murder and trafficking can still be illegal, but why, exactly, should I or one of my customers be criminals or somehow *wrong* for something we both agreed to do?

Drug crime and drug abuse didn’t go away when pot was legalized in Colorado. Murder didn’t go away when it was made illegal.

As a former sex worker, I don’t understand what is so hard for people to understand. We want our work to be legal, but pimping and human trafficking to be illegal.

Would you have been wrong to fuck your friend on the sofa? What is more your situation isn’t a universal one: some people have kinks! I have had sex in front of other people, am I now somehow an outrage? Is having sex in a toilet wrong? Are gangbangs wrong?

You are talking about 16 year old kids.

Except what they did is not worthy of rape charges, child porn etc. What you are saying is that you, an adult, are so morally righteous that you are going to punish kids for having consensual sex. Should they maybe be suspended for having sex on school grounds? Sure.

But women SHOULD NOT have “cultural barriers” to consensual sex. Are you really saying boys should because girls should? Somehow you have taken the position that the misogynistic thing to do is the right thing to do.

You just listed a bunch of situations that ARE NOT RAPE. Lets be perfectly clear, so long as your doctor, person at work, or friend’s boyfriend consents, YOU DID NOT RAPE THEM.

Because you and others are calling these boys rapists, when they were also under the age of consent and by all accounts, including the girls!, the sex was consensual.

The guys were also under the age of consent. If she consented to sex with them, why is the default the they raped her? How can we really say that anyone raped anyone when all parties were of legal age and consensual?

Um, no. Stat rape is only for people above age in sexual situations. These boys were all under the age of consent as well.

The boys are under the age of consent as well.

Except literally no one is saying that in this case. That you would make criminals out of people who had consensual sex (again, as I have said to you multiple times, THEY WERE UNDER THE AGE OF CONSENT AS WELL) makes you the asshole here.

And you placing those thousands of years of history on this situation is fair? These young boys, who by all accounts had consensual sex with a willing partner, are to be punished for the crime of thousands of years of history, but nothing inparticular to this? Again, they were under the age of consent as well.

The boys were not of the age of consent either. The law states that if the parties are under the age of consent they have to be in a certain age range of each other.

The boys aren’t of age to consent either, and its not like she broadcast her mental state nor do we know it at the time.

For the reasons outlined above. In fact, I would argue that the consent she gave, for multiple partners, is itself a symptom of why they should have known it wasn’t an innocent situation.

You are assuming that they all knew she was trafficked, and if it was consensual we can’t really judge. Are you really saying no woman would ever want multiple partners? That is just factually incorrected.
