I have a Mac Mini and I never use launchpad. I have looked at it, but this is a desktop with a mouse, Launchpad is just too touchable for the desktop environment.

After trying to make a cell phone OS into a desktop OS... it's no wonder he is out. If anything the OS wars have taught us is that every new platform that has it's own OS should look different enough as to not confuse users into thinking that all their apps could work across the platforms seamlessly.
