This confounds me. What is the intellectual or emotional payoff that allows a person to believe this? What is the motivation behind this?

Thanks for the correction!!! It’s not so broad, though, is it? You have Governor, elected by the citizens of Texas advocating for secession. And I LIVED in Texas (Houston, to be exact) so I have a little experience with the people there.

I hope Rick Perry and his ilk start blathering about Texas succession again. And this time, let’s have a nationwide discussion about it and put it to a vote like Scotland did. It’s something we need to consider. Oh and Texas, take Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida with you on your way out.
