I’m a middle-aged white woman living in the SF Bay area. House break in? Cops don’t come. I was attacked in SF by a group of kids with a crow bar and had to wait FOUR HOURS for the cops to show up at home to take a report. They don’t show up unless there is a chance they can use their weapons or break some heads.

I’m gonna try to post pics from my phone. Mine WILL look like this, but realize, something like this is after 3 years or so, when everything is grown in.

Mine too. But really, it doesn’t take a lot of “expertise” to do landscaping. I did it, and I’m hardly an expert.

Me too, and I second that.

I got rid of mine completely. Replaced with drought resistant plants, drip irrigation and mulch. Looks great.

Don’t knock the great American tradition of buying your way out of every obligation and responsibility that your (admittedly privileged ) citizenship requires. Starting with paying your way out of every draft, to knowing you can fail the SATs, but your legacy will get into into any Ivy you aspire to.

So he actually smiles? Because every picture of him I see looks like someone just told him his dog was run over.

So when will charges be brought up against the Jack-booted Thugs who beat him up?

Ever hear of “Pay per plate”? A Bride I know once only chose gifts from a registry that were of equal or greater value than what it was costing her per guest. I hope someone had the balls to gift wrap a rabid raccoon.

He’s brave and wonderful, and as I said to my Mom, he’s probably saved a hundred Trans kids who feel a little less alone now. Kudos forever.

It was still on as of this morning. I even wrote them to ask what was the matter with TLC Management.

See, phone sex I get. You hear their voice, their intonation, their breathing. Sand there are no typos to break the mood. I’m with you - I don’t get sexting.

As an Atheist, I applaud this.

Some of the passages in her book, I felt, were incredibly tone deaf given the inequality so prevalent in American society. But it’s so good to read about a couple who loved each other so deeply and held each other in such high regard. I can’t imagine losing your best friend so suddenly, and my thoughts are with her
