Ah yes heritage.
Ah yes heritage.
Literally came here to say the same thing. I honestly didn’t realize Netflix still had it (well, until July). It’s definitely re-watchable, and I kinda categorize it with It Follows, and while they are clearly not anywhere near the same, it’s a slow buildup for both.
Oh Coherence was interesting, I’ll have to check this one out too, thanks.
Another positive is the ability for restaurants to change their menus more frequently without the massive costs of re-printing physical menus. Plus some can note if they’re out of something right there on the menu.
a significant portion of the rest of the world already uses them. i’m a big fan, but of course most of the rest of the world doesn’t have our stone aged tipping system that mandates your server dance for their supper.
Just came here to recommend The Invitation (2015) which is leaving on July 7th. It is a fun slow-burn thriller with a gut punch of an ending. This is the type of horror I prefer, which terrifies its audience through mounting dread rather than graphic violence or ridiculous jump scares.
How nice it would be if they didn’t have to try to befriend you in order for them to get the proper wage for their services.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Anne Hathaway sounds interesting.
There are a ton of things we should keep from all this. We’ll see how many make it through.
I live in a smaller community and it drives me insane that there’s a lot of accessible funding and people opt out because it doesn’t match their aesthetic. asking a person with a disability to go around back and through the kitchen to get to their table instead of just adding a little ramp is maddening.
That’s awesome. I am constantly noticing how public spaces, even those ostensibly ADA-compliant, are not really designed for accessibility. It’s nice to see something that truly is.
I wish I had a question that started with “my girlfriend gave me a blowjob on the way to a party.”
That’s why TLJ is the best new one.
Of all the bad decisions they’ve made over the years, not allowing Ray to be an orphan was the worst.
It would have been much, much more powerful to have Ray just be a force-sensitive person and be in the right place/right time to get her hands on Luke’s lightsaber. Like - that’s how the force can fucking work sometimes. This is all mystical bullshit.
Another dumbass take that treats failure as the result of some specific thing they “did wrong” - explaining too much, minority lead, adapting a video game - rather than on the fact that the films/shows themselves have been hit and miss.
Don’t get me wrong, as a SoCal native, I love In N Out and I agree that their fries aren’t that great... but, 5 Guys is overpriced mediocre food at best.
I am a big fan of the simpsons. Been watching since episode 1 when I was not even a teenager. I think the show has remained pretty good overall. But the musical numbers have gotten substantially worse over time. There are no Monorail quality songs on the Simpsons anymore. I think the last good song they had was around…
The debut of “Handmaid’s Tale - the series” occurred right after the first truly viable women’s POTUS candidate lost the election. Instead, a man being sued by his rape victim, bragged on tape about “grabbing women by the pussy,” was thrice married and paid an adult movie actress to cover up an affair became POTUS. It…
I’ll admit that when Boba appeared at the end of the season premiere, I groaned. I have always found the obsession with him (based solely on the movies - I know there’s more development of him in the EU, but I also know that his presence in the EU happened because of existing obsession with him) to be…
