“If you can’t afford your labor costs, you shouldn’t be in business.” Actually its more like if you cant afford to be paid that little work for a better job.

Companies are NOT required to pay a LIVING wage. There’s no reason that a person should be able to support themselves and a family as a fry cook at McDolonds. That type of job was never disnged to do that.

“Hard work DOES NOT pay off. At least in America. It’s why I go ballistic on fucking morons who keep parroting that bullshit.”

“I’m not about to complain about the gains my index funds and 401K funds have had.” Where in that statement that he made does he say anything you’ve mentioned? A person can both be happy that their investments are doing well and recognize that there are people who are worse off and need help.

Thats strange. 10 years ago I was working a dead end job for next to nothing with no advancement. After taking time to study and get a few I.T. certifications I was able to get a decent job at a company and start climbing the job ladder. Now I make great money doing a job that is in high demand.

Why is the fact that other people aren’t doing well his problem? Is he doing something to keep them down or rub it in their faces?

No you’re right its not. But if you cant see that trying to reach for something when a cop is telling you to keep your hands up isn’t a good way, and as the courts have determined, a leagle way to get shot and possilby killed then thats on you.

“Anyone who doesn’t treat law enforcement officers as accountable is complicit.” No one is saying officers should not be held accountable. The issue is when you decide that the standard and legal level of accountability is not enough.

So just out of curiosity, is everyone who doesn’t share your opinion of how cases should be handled complicit? I mean, if a case is dismissed or charges are not pressed, could that be because the actions taken were found to be legal?

Cops are arrested before they go on trial.

And people like you who distort the objectively low (but still terrible) percentage of cops who do this as being indicative of all police officers. You’re just as much of the problem

Or you could say that their training and experience has shown then that people reaching for their waistband when confronted by the police tend to have weapons on them.

The guy reached for his waist band after being told to put his hands up. How is that not being a danger to the officer?

Yeah, oddly enough they get put on trial for it. But come to think of it, so do cops.

The guy was reaching for his waist band where - follow me on this- weapons are usually hidden. So you want this guy to be able to reach down and pull out a weapon and start trying to kill an officer before the officer reacts? Its people like you who have no frame of reference when it comes to service that spout off

Vs the “yeah totally go ahead and drop your hand inside your waist bad for whatever you’ve got in there. I didn’t particularly care about going home to my wife and child tonight anyway”?

I feel you, I’m in the same position family wise and monetarily. I hope things get better for you!

This all the fucking way. The cost of taking care of your parents when the get too old is astronomical, and dont even get me started if they have any medical issues.

I agree if the customer came in asking for a plane generic wedding cake and the baker refused. But if they wanted something written or depicting on it something that the baker feels is against their religion, how can you force them? I cant go to a Muslim artist and demand that they draw a depiction of Mohammad and

So you can force them to do work they dont want to do? They have no right to choose their customers?
