A few on twitter were talking up how much Raven’s work on the single player called back to the COMPLETELY BONKERS Soldier of Fortune I and II games. Which is a good thing.
Sure the optics are horrifying, as they are in most COD games, but having it shade further into the absurd is always a fun thing.
In an age of pretty decent NES music, the Sunsoft games always seemed to be strong and distinctive.

I think the PS1 version was the response to SEGA’s Panzer Dragoon. I still have the excellent soundtrack to the first game.

Manhunt wasn’t a great game, but it was a very competent melee stealth game with some fun mechanics, great aesthetic and some real visceral and dirty pleasure moments.
I remember encountering Nuclear Gandhi on my Tandy 1000 TL/2 and threatening me big time with words backed by nuclear weapons.
This game was a tier 1 Snes launch game. Incredible visuals, evocative cutscenes, great gameplay and a breathtaking soundtrack.
