My wife and I’s date night is flipping through Netflix, Amazon and Hulu and putting things in our queue. We never seem in the mood for what’s there already, and can never find anything we want to watch right then, but two hours of hunting and previews and “Wait” and “Go back” and a few bottles of wine—perfect.

The problem with this, however, is that most people don’t tend to their various—potentially many—services like houseplants, and it can be easy to forget to cancel a subscription when you meant to.

Nowhere in this discussion have I read anything about Literature, capital “L”. As in art.

I think Boyle was trying to zero in on things that we take for granted.

It’s a lot of fun.  Danny Boyle is just a good director, period.  He’s fun.  Rent it when you just want to not think about stuff.
