I’m not seeing anything in your article that alarms me.

Agreed, especially the force of your beliefs. Fuck ‘em.

This.

If the police were not so busy showing off how bad ass they are, perhaps I’d listen. Every photo, meme and response is “I’ll beat up whoever feels threatened by me.”

I have poor eyesight. I thought you were joking (Deadspin) about Mathew Perry, etc., as in some executive LOOKED like Mathew Perry. Then I enlarged it.

Comment of the day.

I remember Howard Stern saying that every time he tuned into Fox News they had a different blonde woman at the desk. He then wondered what the rotating in was like and where they went after because they were all pretty much interchangeable and never stayed around long enough to offer up a distinct personality.  This

I can’t stop thinking about a poll I read during the 2016 cycle that said addressing the needs of black mothers was the sweet spot of issues—education, health care, public safety.... Any politician that ran on making black mothers happy would appeal to every other demographic automatically (except, I assume, angry

“Electability” is also used against women pretty hard, too. Right now it being used as Harris and Warren are outpacing Biden and Sanders.

You are not alone. Halle Berry tweeted in support (including a great illustration of Bailey as Ariel), indicating that many people were congratulating her on landing the role by mistake.

After seeing the illustration of Bailey as animated Ariel (on the rock in the surf) in Halle Berry’s tweet announcing Bailey getting the role, there is no question the role is a natural fit. AND SHE CAN SING!

He looks so much like Jon Hamm (Mad Men) that, when I see the sidebar link, I think it’s a bad comedy and not a horrible tragedy.

I am trying to push the Gadsen flag to replace the Confederate battle flag for all of the northerners (I live in Vermont) who insist on flying the Stars N’ Bars because they think they’re rebel spirits. Rebel spirit, northern roots, great flag and it waters down the Tea Party ownership.

If that’s the only benefit of being black, that tells you a lot about how shitty it is to be black in America.

Trump is a leader. Of a small group of assholes, but he leads them well (to the point they are running everything while others furrow their brows and shake fists and do nothing).

Consent. And don’t punch them too hard.

Some points.

I really enjoyed the film, and recommend anyone interested go see it in the theater (I find I get distracted at home, streaming, and this is the type of movie that benefits from just watching Danny Boyle’s directing).

I agree with the comments—reviews were meh and it did seem ripe for streaming.

1. Awkwafina: That was said of Chris Pine a lot, and I agreed. Until Wonder Woman and then I saw him in a new light (he’s a great sidekick, but just meh as a lead like Kirk). Perhaps she needs the right vehicle.
