Thing is, though, sometimes racism does go away, as people mature and are exposed to new ideas. I have no idea if Mark Wahlberg is a racist today, but I wouldn’t want to assume that because he was a racist as a teenager he has to be a racist forever. Racism is learned, and it can be unlearned.
