Blame the turbo. I have a 08 forester (ej253 non-turbo) and a 05 STi (ej257 turbo) In the Forester I get about 27 driving the shit out of it, the STi, even when babied, maybe 13. I get better MPGs out of my 08 Tundra 4x4 than the STi. Turbo=shitty MPGs, most of the time.
