Carson's immigrants.
Albernathy is modeled after Williams consciousness. Why else does that photo cause such a reaction?
I'd say your original thought was on point. I think the show was almost meant to be appreciated in a shorter time span due to the necessity of the story points and progression being fresh in your mind so you can then pay more attention to the nuances in the performances by the actors. While that is not a problem with…
Okay after some digesting and thinking I'm willing to put on my lawyer cap and step up for the show, but my first question to you is, did you end up rewatching it? Did you notice any differences in your reactions the second time around? Think that's a good starting point for me to build off of
Excellent observation. Hell of a well made series
Difficult concept to pull off, isn't it? Yet another reason why I hold this series in high regards
Except, of course, for them…
I think your observation is an overgeneralization because I never got that impression from either the phrase-speak or the rough voices. I'll give you that sometimes with ani and ray you definite noticed it more so than the other characters, but I think its more of a character trait than a symptom of pretentious…
You receive the show you deserve.
"when viewers had been expecting it to be some kind of nefarious cult symbol"
I see more people who don't like it asking for reasons to like it.
I hate to sound like one of those, but if you spent any time re-watching the series, that ending should have been expected by the time ani finished giving her bedroom chat about "the trees" real early in the episode.
You're approaching the nexus of intelligence, stop, stop! I wont say what famous actor Vaughn reminded me of throughout this season, but I certainly shared your "hanging off every word" feeling. He was great.
I had no problem with it; was a consistent behavior in the character to not be able to fully drag himself out of his past. He had to see his son one last time. His old life was logical for rest of us to leave behind. But not ray. But points for hyper-sarcasm!
Glad someone is catching on to the show. No series will ever be perfect, but I suspect this one will age with the best of them out there because of its willingness to make the music, the scenery, just as impressionable as the fleshed out and consistently written characters.
I'll think about it and get back to you on that one, because to me it is masterful. Just a sharply crafted reflection of our times. In the meantime I'd just recommend viewing it again, slower.
Better yet, who cares?
Except killing caspere screwed frank out of all his money. Seems unlikely he would keep it from frank when he knows what frank lost with the death. Unless he, like blake, just tried to get himself "made" and took an opportunity into his own hands, seeing an end in sight with working for frank. Besides, that the girl…
You're so wrong, but ill just let you believe its a bad line rather than explaining why it fits perfectly with the scene, and it's players…
