It’s a rough day for pathological cheaters, who, contrary to their own beliefs and nobody else’s, do not deserve better. Now if only Riot would go after the racists with similar fervor.

I’m not defending their decision, but saying there’s no way to play their games is a bit strange. That’s like saying you bought a PS4 and now you can’t play Nintendo games. If you wanted to play PC games you probably should’ve bought a PC.
“I checked it. They actually did it. It’s live. I uninstalled. This is my last post. Bye Overwatch after 3 years of every day play. I won’t support censorship on such level,”
You should probably stop instantly assuming everyone is racist when they use a word that has about 5 completely different fucking definitions.
Or you should stop being a big baby
Way to miss the forest for the trees.
The pack of wolves set upon the fawn with savage ferocity.
You saying this proves the other persons point perfectly. You are completely ignoring the persons point and acting like a child by calling the word savage their “baby”. Not surprising considering you don’t seem like the type of person that wants to have actual an actual discourse. Be better.
ohhhh savage burn
But here’s the thing. If a person finds a word offensive, apologize and stop using it. For 99.99% of the population, savage is a word with no baggage. We need to stop saying “you can’t say X because I can imagine a specific scenario in which a person might find X offensive under certain circumstances.”
We don’t need to…
This feels like the most manufactured of manufactured controversies. I Googled “savage” as requested, and got the following as the first result.
None of the definitions feel inherently racist, and the initial adjectival definition feels like it serves the game perfectly. Sure, the developers *could* have chosen a…
trying to manufacture controversy where none exists
If Kotaku wasn’t the only games site that got through the filter on my work computer I’d never come here again.
Keeping up with the “you can’t use that word” anymore treadmill is definitely exhausting.
Man, I certainly appreciate that there are other perspectives out there than my own, but as someone who likes to think they’re incredibly sympathetic (empathetic when I can be), shit like this drives me absolutely nuts.
3. We seek out single player games, because if somebody is gonna ruin the night with Toxicity, it’s gonna be me.
“Crunch is a failure in management. They didn’t adequately plan enough time for a realistic scope and now they’re making the workers grind their health and life into dust so that our pixels look pretty enough.”
Dude be real it is not like the programmers are chained to a desk and told to work for 12 hours straight. Crunch happens in any industry. You can have the perfect scope of work and shit happens an people have to cram extra hours in to get the project in. Is it ideal no, but it is not the end all be all sky is falling…
Nothing in this particular article states what exactly the crunch conditions are for CDPR for the next 6 months, other than they will be working overtime.
Cecilia is one of my favorite writers here, but the idea that she prefers multiplayer over single player makes me question her entire worldview!
