don´t worry about opening the cart, is a common problem, most “serious” collectors open the cartridges to ensure the carts are 100% original. The cart isn´t going to deteriorate by opening if you do it with care.

Emulation is cool, and is becoming better with the years, but is not quite the same thing, playing with the original thing is a special thing.
