Deserve to be mocked due to video game preferences/skills? Life doesn’t have an easy mode, so games shouldn’t either? Are you for real?

I think I’d like all of the above listed as on/off options. The one thing I do unequivocally support is healthpacks being refilled on warp. While keeping an eye out for them is part of the challenge, having to hunt for them just isn’t that fun and takes away from the core gameplay which is supposed to be dashing,

I haven’t played that game yet, but no invincibility frames at all for a dodge seems pretty absurd. It’s a well-established concept in action video games for a while now (and no, Dark Souls definitely did NOT invent that, Patrick... smh)

I disagree. I absolutely want every game to have an easy mode— one that doesn’t mock me for playing it. I am terrible even with easy games, games I’ve spent many hours playing. I have anxiety-ridden nightmares at even attempting Bloodbourne or Dark Souls. I don’t know if I’d ever be able to progress in either game.

There’s also a time component, though. When I was a kid, I could afford to come home from school and spend the rest of the day dying in Donkey Kong Country. A lot of adult gamers have an hour or two per day max, and I can’t blame them for not spending the time to get good.

Ah, gotcha.

Yea, it’s not like they’d take out the harder difficulty. But thing is some people are just bad at games but still want to enjoy them. Getting wrecked 80 times in one part is fun for no one, especially when you aren’t good enough to figure out how to beat it.

i can’t understand why they wouldn’t just have the classic “easy, normal, hard” settings that were pretty standard ever since 16-bit games... like, ???

Oh darn. When I read the medkit thing I was about to boot up my PS4 and buy the game, but when I read it was reversed I think I’ll wait until they have a more manageable difficulty level worked out.

Stop.

I had no problem wiping out Rikers and their leader over the past couple of nights, especially after watching the echos and security footage in that last mission. You can play up the race card all you want outside of the game, inside the game that character and her cohorts were some fucked up individuals who only used

There have been many critics that take issue with the ‘killing poor people bit.’ Me, on the other hand, could care less. It is shooting at you? Can you shoot back at it? Okay, that’s enough for me.

I never questioned the morality of killing pink demon cow things in DOOM, or wondered what the part of the world the

“I can usually live with spending most of my time shooting virtual poor people.”
