Not to be pessimistic, he’s doing it now that Peele has had a tremendous, runaway success. It’s not like he’s taking a chance on some unknown or unproven director.

I don’t think most fans know about this. I feel like I’m always meeting people (incl POC) who say they love Lovecraft. This is crazy!!

“Safety not Guaranteed” was semi-serious. But her serious parts were horrible. In one scene she’s talking about her mom’s death and it’s so overwhelmingly bad.

Peggy Whitson just set the new record for most days (534) in space. We still need more women in space but it hasn’t been all male.

Well, technically toddlers can’t help it either. That prefrontal cortex is still developing. They don’t have impulse control yet. Still annoying but not intentional.

I feel so bad for people with invisible injuries/illness. Once I was on the bus with a cast on my leg and an old man yelled at me for sitting. He said young people should be standing. I actually think she looks amazing. She could look like Frankenstein’s monster and her appearance would still be the least disgusting thing about her.

I understood that. I’m a native English speaker. You’re still making fun of her name. Making fun of how it sounds is also making fun of it.

As someone with a weird name (i.e. “ethnic”), it pisses me off when people mock others for their name. Aside from being the lamest burn, it adds insult to injury. Unusual names hurt people in the search for a job and in the workplace.

I had an article published and I was paid nothing. They said they don’t pay for the first article. I think that was standard for at least the first few years.
