Buick's target audience for this car was pretty clear, what with them naming the car after the average age of the aforementioned audience.

They are. They're just under a different company name, since he didn't want to release a very different (aesthetically) version alongside the original.

I don't know where you're getting your numbers from, but he has a variety of apps (one of which is called 5-0 Radio Police Scanner, which was among the most downloaded "news" apps for a long time). He claimed in his Reddit AMA that there are over 10 million users of his apps.
What is he really gaining from this? A few thousand views on his video, which translate into a few dollars? Does that make any sense, financial or otherwise? He's not even showing his face or revealing his name.
