I actually like HBO, and a lot of their programs. However, the whole cable monopoly pisses me off. Six or seven years ago, before I unplugged for good, I had the basic cable package with Comcast. Basically, ABC, CBS, NBC and a couple of other channels. I wanted to add HBO to the package, and the customer service guy…
Don’t you get donations, as well? I have a friend who used to donate the DVDs he no longer wanted to the library.
Secede already!
When I was in college in the late 90s, the Phish fans always had the best drugs. They didn’t shower, but they had the best drugs.
That photo on top of the story! It reminded me of something.
Thanks! I hope your buddy buys you a beer with some of that royalty money.
Yeah, you’re probably right, although there are a lot of people like her (http://wapo.st/2h2Qg4E) in Western Pa. Especially outside Allegheny County.

Brow-beating readers to laugh at your insensitive jokes? It doesn’t look good on you.
As a former web editor at a newspaper in Pa., I can definitely say moderating comments is something no one should ever have to do. It will ruin your day (week, month, etc.) in a hurry. Good Kinja does not exist in that world.
Or, was he playing possum?
I saw some of the same problems in Western Pennsylvania. There were 20 Trump signs to each Clinton sign. I live in an urban neighborhood right outside of the City of Pittsburgh, and I saw two or three Clinton signs (one in my own front yard), and several more for Trump.
Everyday, I wake up and read this stuff, and I say to myself, it can’t get any worse. I’m going to stop saying that.
I thought the Fridge should’ve ranked a bit higher, too.
Sounds about right to me, too. People still talk about Van Slyke like he’s freakin’ Willie Mays.
