Oh, cool, so the hero isn’t a white male who is better at an “exotic” Asian culture than any of the natives?

Hopefully if they make contact with aliens there is an English speaker on staff so they can communicate.

I shall preface my comment by stating that I don’t know anything about the source material or the plot of the movie beyond what you said, namely that The Ancient One is Tibetan. But unless the movie in any way portrays Tibet as anything more than a region, I’m not sure if there’s any risk (political or box office)

I’m probably the only one but I can’t wait until the time comes when everyone decides together that the Daniel Craig James Bond movies were overrated.

Now, the “Evil Leaper” would get co-billing and would be a character with his/her own separate story and maybe even a spinoff (Think Angel or Spike)

Fans suck. They ruin all the nice things.

BUT.. if you’re going to do it... Here’s my method:
* Sam is still bouncing around through time, except he is haunted by a leap we

Be careful what you wish for, unfortunately. If QL was made today, it would have to pander to the continuity nerds out there. It would be like X-Files and Alias all over again.

The beauty of Quantum Leap was not in explaining how the leaps happened, or all that much of the mechanics, or harping on how they were trying

Fortunately, Gawker is no longer around to post/broadcast them.

Yeah, I wish these movies that try to have ‘scary clowns’ in them would stop trying so hard, ‘cause there’s nothing scary about them. The original Pennywise and the clown from Poltergeist were so scary because there was a subtle scary look to them. They could definitely pass for something you’d see at a kid’s birthday

I commented on Bunny’s post above with the same message I’m going to give to you: Thanks for posting. It seems that once upon a time, Star Trek was ipso facto Utopian, and that’s why people liked it.

I’m scrolling past post after post here with people praising ideas about a fallen Federation, and I’m ready to leave a Walter Sobchakian comment along the lines of “AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE WHO GIVES A $#@! ABOUT ENLIGHTENMENT IDEALS ABOUT THE PERFECTIBILITY OF HUMAN SOCIETY??” Luckily, I came to your post before

Interesting as they sound, Final Frontier and Federation share the same problem in the eyes of this old Trekker... namely, where’s the optimism? A lot of what pulled us old guys to Star Trek in the first place, and keeps us there to this day, had to do with the essentially optimistic outlook of the show and the

Well said. It’s so ironic how a franchise so manifestly about the future has been trapped in its own past since 2002. It boggles the mind, really. For the life of me I can't comprehend what makes the powers that be so eager to retread what's long gone. All it does is create continuity issues. I just can't wrap my head

There were very little promos for this show it just kinda came from Nowhere...

I’m just bummed that they picked such a terminally mediocre actress for the lead.

“Reed Richards discovered that Jane Foster is a sentient noble gas and is running tests on her. This also explains her lack of chemistry with everyone and thing.”

As long as I don’t have to see Natalie Portman hate collecting her paycheck on screen, I’m good with whatever excuse they come up with.

The problem is that this show depicts what would happen if the zombie outbreak occured and that a lot of people complaining here seem to want to see what would happen if the zombie outbreak occured in a world where everyone has already watched Walking Dead.
