It is a system populated by people. The system isn’t inhumane, the people are. Never forget that! Look at the billionaire CEOs that donate millions a year to charity - capitalism isn’t the monster it is painted as. It is just a system of private ownership of business. That is it! Everything else you can blame on

Except we have “well-regulated capitalism” for the most part, in that we have a whole fuckton of regulations. They actually are what tend to lead to cronyism and corruption, because lobbyist/special interests can get regulations put in place (or removed) based on what suits their business best. Just look at the impact

The free market is a perfectly fine thing in theory - yet we have never really had it, due to corruption and cronyism. That won’t change under the GOP. The only difference is that they want to run the country their way with their rules and they use this sort of terminology to trick their followers into voting for them

Sincerely,

Quality comment that should have way more stars.

How arousing... I mean... arousing my suspicions. I swear.

Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals.

Good take. Snickered.

Stones? On this guy? Sounds good to me...

I mean... look, the guy may be off the mark, but threatening to sexually assault him? That is a bit much.

How dare you quote anything but Two Corinthians in Trump’s America?! #MAGA

There is no soul of business. There is only the bottom line. Because if you focus on the soul, you might jeopardize everything. Wasteful spending on jobs no longer needed (or else why would they get rid of them?) means less new hires in growth areas. Seriously, this is no brainer basic econ. Trying to criticize those

Who should have lost a nomination in favor of a more diverse selection?

Yup. I agree with your first point entirely.

And on my positive notes: I am really rooting for Aziz. I hope he snaps up his nods, because Master of None is one of the best shows I have watched in years. The writing is superb and he deserved his nominations, for sure! Also rooting for both the actors for The Americans,

No, that is a bullshit metric. They were well represented at the Emmy’s. One or two categories will skew whiter because whites happen to be the majority. Yet even one African-American in a category immediately exceeds their population representation in the US. So as I said, what percentage will satisfy folks like Isha

Same. I only post here while at work.

Exactly what percentage would satisfy your want for representation? At this point, it definitely feels like an arbitrary yardstick, because POC were well represented when compared to their actual population presence. Yet, you single out one category just to have a grievance. I guess its all about the outrage nowadays

Of for fuck’s sake. This is reaching SO HARD.

Whoa there, tiger. You get all that sound reason and logic out of here. This is SUPER racist and don’t you question it.
