Shiiiiiiiit. They made a great life choice. Cushy ass job with a six-figure paycheck that they essentially don’t seem to get fired over. Just look at Congressional re-election rates vs approval rating. Plus all the benefits! And no shit, they can (and probably will) vote in place a stipend if they want! Because they

Came here to say this. It is Twenty-fucking-Seventeen folks! Do we really need hundreds of assholes flying from all over the goddamn country just to dick around in DC? Somehow, we could use technology to make this work.

2) About 95% of the country manages to survive with under $174,000 a year in household earnings, maybe don’t be such a welfare queen with your big screen cable TVs, eating out all the time and iPhones every year, Chaffetz?

I would LOVE to see them all live in PG county. This would be just too perfect.

And? Even corrupt, violent regimes can have laws and enforce them. Doesn’t mean they aren’t corrupt and violent.

Ohhh myyyyy....

You aren’t wrong, but any positive traction is positive.

I would give more leeway if the regime wasn’t what it is. They lie about things and I have no doubt they would actively cover up this kind of thing. It isn’t like the history isn’t there and hell, even if it isn’t the real story (I think it is), that it is just so very likely speaks volumes enough. I reiterate that I

Well obviously. We can hope though. Would be nice to see Americans rekindle that Union spirit that led to such a good run of prosperity... or at least help curb the trampling of employees that seems to be pretty common now.

Fuck that is sad. I really hope the Venezuelans can overcome this and get themselves a solid gov’t after Maduro either leaves or is ousted... which I hope happens soon and with no more (or at least less) violence.

...it is like you didn’t even read my post. Must be a troll.

“Woke” is now an official part of the world’s most definitive English dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary, which means it’s been accepted as an official English word by the highest linguistic authorities.

only if it could demonstrate that the employee’s comments were inimical to its interests in maintaining harmony among coworkers (particularly those having daily contact with the employee); the employee’s immediate superior’s ability to maintain discipline; and any relationships with the employee in which personal

You would need to argue this wasn’t in violation of the terms of her employment and not protected speech. Free speech is not a free pass to say stupid shit on the air that makes an institution look bad.

A gov’t employee can be terminated for conduct. This would qualify as “poor conduct” and that is all the case the school needs to make.

And? That doesn’t change that she can be fired for making the school look bad if it potentially violates her terms of employment.

Have you ever worked for a living? Based on your stupid comment, I am assuming no. I have no worked at a single place that doesn’t have some version of a Code of Conduct that includes doing shit that makes the company/institution look bad. This usually includes the option for termination.
