It broke my Dad’s brain when we explained to him that first cousins were ‘cousin-cousins’ (his late boss’ eulogy mentioned that she and her husband were first cousins). Culturally for him (and my sisters and I) cousins = siblings more or less.

...what?
After a day trip a few years ago with my Mum and the sisters above (Sash) and below me (Childling), we went to the train station to see the Sash off as she was living elsewhere with her now-husband at the time.
My sister found a ‘tradition’ (read: a suggestion on the Internet) where you give the bouquet to an important person in your life, so she gave it to our Aunt.
AND NOT ONE WORD ABOUT THE REAL BABY NEWS
If I had my way, she’d be Australian of the year every year.
She always looks like herself! I do genuinely wish more people would take risks and rock them, though. For example, here’s what Lee Lin Chin (Aussie newsreader) wore to the Logies (our daytime emmys, but at night). The best part (besides the comfortable shoes) is the fact that she is clearly having a ball:
Community (Seasons 1-3 are the only ones I can vouch for), BBC3’s Some Girls and Brooklyn 99
It’s always nice to see someone shamelessly wear a LOOK especially at an event that has costume in the title. Stylists have levelled the field and not in a good way.
Not even gonna lie, I had a blast watching the first one. The entire experience was too similar to watching anti-classic The Room (“MEANwhile in SEATTLE”) and the toast scene is unintentional comedy gold.
Your daily reminder that diamonds are valued at artificially inflated prices mostly due to strict control of supply by the De Beers company.
My older sister once said to our youngest sister
Max was sooo disappointing, that's for sure. Although some of the criticism weirdness was editing according to her twitter
This performance he did of Hey Mama at the 2008 Grammys never fails to leave me in tears. It's obvious how much he loved her, and how much he was hurting from the loss.
I’ve heard this edited to “excuse you, I wasn’t finished”. yet to use it myself but it sounds glorious.
