Nemo: no. it's the fact that i could get a core 2 duo at the same price (at least here in Hungary). btw i want a macbook. the things that are holding me back is the compatibility issues with my current hardware (which is now solved with Bootcamp. but then again, i can't use that nifty webcam in windows). so i'm saying

Nemo: concerning your post script - 3rd party apps do add value to the system. being able to play games on a PC makes it more valuable for people who need it. having widgets on a Mac make it more valuable for those people who need it. it DOES count. and yes, i want to change to mac, but i just don't feel my money

appe's image is just too hip to be damaged... even though it's clear that Cupertino steals too, none of the fanboys admit. bad apple, bad...

stationery = html emails = useless crap people played around with in Outlook 2000

thank you lifehacker for giving me one more good app.

oh no, i can see mac fanboys attacking this space now

It's obvious that it's manipulated... sorry it is... how could XP get 7 on video editing while X got 1? And there are some other glitches as well. Plus, you just can't compare the availability of 3rd party stuff for both OS's, which depending on the needs, could change everything. it's like comparing dogs to cats.

hmm.. i wonder why we don't get a "best comments roundup" anymore :( guys we're dropping in comment-quality as well

i still care about misc stuff about my visitors. that is why i have what i need in Mint peppers (plugins). and you can also check it at www.andyzhang.com/mint cus i opened it up just for you guys

i'm using Mint on my blog, analytics on my gamehosting site. both a great. i like Mint for it's simplicity and flexibility, and analitycs for being googlish :P but if you're looking for a good stats machine for your blog or anything personal, i recomment Mint (www.haveamint.com)

Ooo, it's like i've read it somewhere.

i have post it notes everywhere. "buy dogfood" on the door, "call so and so" on the phone, "email this and that" on the screen, etc. and i only take them off when the task is done. works for me.

Maybe i'm not even supposed to be here, but yes, i admit, i'm 15. i'm on summer break. i do my blog, i do graphics and web design, and the rest of the time i come up with fun stull to do. and yes, i try to get the most out of Budapest nightlife (oh well not THAT much but tHaT much) (and ye, Hungarians don't care

no F'ing way this has been posted. i'm 15, i'm chinese living in hungary (europe), and it's been obvious to me since first grade elementary. i'm not saying anyone's dum, but do you really think people who found a way to lifehacker and the internet won't be able to figure that out themselves?

wow, good to know there are fellow hungarians reading lifehacker. magyarorszááág, fasza.

that's my luch. i JUST installed a fresh copy of windows media center

whatdoes hnady mean? :)

Do NOT INSTALL VISTA as an UPGRADE to WinXP! I regret it every day when vista throws me messages of driver incompatibilities (such as my scanner, webcam, tv-tuner) and trust me there's nothing new except for an extremely slugged down computer and some shiny transparent windows which i believe is achievable with some
