This is a very small sample size, but I’ve had 2 Monoprice lightning cables die (they replaced both for free), but no Apple cables die (iPhone 5, 5S, 6, wife’s 6, ipad mini, mini 2 = 6 cables in all).

awesome photo!

Shrug, they can go in an earbud if the earbud is large. I got these off Amazon and they’re fine and super cheap. I recommend them as long as you don’t expect them to be awesome - no complaints.

I’ve been holding onto my old AT&T unlimited data plan. I buy a new phone every year, so every other year I pay full unlocked price. Can anyone enlighten me on if I can keep my unlimited data plan and knock the monthly price down by being off a subsidy?

They haven’t been tracking very well though. I met a guy at a NASA event who was trying to ST2 his 818R and he’s had a myriad of cooling issues. His belief is that the design wasn’t properly track tested and he’s basically been guinea pigging it for FF. Sort of broke my heart because I’d love to build an S or R for

how did you generate the awesome track speed calculation graphic?

how do you generate this sweet speed calculation graphic?

I think they actually have a robot that places them. Not sure if they used it for initial installation, but they do use it to move them around for different test sets.

It’s a nightmare if you damage any of the aircraft. I’ve worked on designing systems for those chambers and you need many failsafes to ensure you don’t damage aircraft.

I’ve been in that chamber - it’s crazy huge.

exactly the same experience, I bought the compact at BB&B a few years ago and could not be happier. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty great.

Nice car, I’m jealous. Video looks like it’s in the Santa Barbara area, maybe?

I really like my Breville Compact Smart Oven (BOV650XL). I’m sure the larger model(s) are nice too, but this one fits on my counter and doesn’t take up too much space, but still holds a few slices of pizza or 4 slices of bread, etc. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty great.

We’ve had press cars up on the slopes and this is actually pretty handy for groups - leave the car in the lot with the keys in it and give the code to your buddy if they finish early.

I think this is a misunderstanding of what Apple does well. They don’t make revolutionary products, they make evolutionary products that work really well. Also, they excel in human interface design - making a product that people don’t live in/interact with/etc. wouldn’t be their norm.

I thought the announcers were pretty awful on ESPN for The Open, but this was hilarious.

My wife had a Gran Turismo S once (press car) - white with black wheels and black trim. It looked spectacular, and with the sport exhaust mode they sound terrific. Still a heavy GT car, but I think I’d take one over an XKR.

Yeah, you push it forward and it sticks in high beam, and you can pull to momentarily flash. This is normal, right?

I agree with you, and commented to similar effect. Not really sure what the big deal was. I only watched the first 4 minutes, but nothing looked particularly unsafe. If it wasn’t an open passing session then this guy was totally off the reservation, but I wasn’t there and have no idea what their HPDE rules were...

I watched the first 4 minutes of the video and did not see anything egregious (you didn’t give us a timestamp of any major screw ups). Someone with 2 half days of experience shouldn’t be in an open passing session, but just taking the video at face value I don’t see anything that bad. They’re following close to the
