actually I meant 4g. Hah. Anything after 2g blends together and is hard to discern.

almost looks like a 5th gen Eclipse :(
I learned to drive on a 92 Explorer manual. It was great, basically just a V6 Ranger with a cab. Bulletproof and still running.
The new Accord and Civic are starting to look more rip-off than their Korean counterparts (which by now have moved on to emulating German cars instead).
If they had SPONSORED tags I'd be fine with it, because I assume that's what's going on.
I think the tree fell on the transmission block that had just ripped itself out of the car.
The early production one I was in had a frozen touchscreen as well.
Here's a recap of the month of July on Jalop:
Yeah, hacking them is totally common, but then you're in a different realm than 95% of consumers. But expecting your customers to do that is lame.
Yeah, it's one of my favorites. I guess people didn't like it because it was hard? It was certainly very challenging.
but where's the giant propeller?
Yep, can't wait. The less software car manufacturers have to write, the better for the rest of us. They're terrible at it because it's not their core market. Just like your TV usually has a shitty GUI too, same problem.
Bluetooth is also a good example. I think we all know that one system isn't the same as another. Some support your phone book, some support voice control, some don't stream music, and most of them sound like you're in a wind tunnel even when you're parked.
Edit: you know, on further review, I think iDrive is the best sat/nav. Not because it's in a luxury car, but because it's snappy and is the least annoying. And the integrated wheel in the center console is much better than some 3rd party head unit from Kenwood or whatever many mfgs use.
Doug, I ride in a lot of press cars and see this same thing. A related phenomenon is the luxury brands are having a hard time distinguishing themselves, e.g. Acura, who in my mind was traditionally known for having interesting tech (and better styling, performance, etc). Now that same tech is in the Honda counterpart,…
bad
well yeah, but it's on top of 2 pocket aces at the table. And, the players are talking about the possibility. For sure there is a slim chance of this happening and it happened, but it's still rough for Drinan.
The Evo Recaros have insane bolsters for stock seats. They feel awesome when you're in them, I don't slide around at all. I've been in the GTR, but do not remember the seats like I do the Evo, so I am assuming they were not as memorably excellent.
Do you have a link to a dyno? Would love to see the curve w/ the IC.
Checked my iPad last night - 70k. haha I suck
