My sister rolled her 1999 three times after swerving to avoid a car that crossed the center line one night. She hit the shallow ditch on the side of the road a bit sideways, and it flipped.

She and her friend walked away with absolutely no injuries aside from a bruise or two. When I got to the scene, I thought two cars

I don’t see what you did there.

Those cars all look sketchy, but Mendel has what appears to be a Venturi 260 LM in his logo, so I’ll give him a point for that.

All these puns are causing me to become a bit stern.

Mileage is probably the single thing people point to, but I think overall condition is a better identifier. That contractor’s Silverado with 10,000 miles on it is probably not going to be as “lightly used” as the suburban lawyer’s that has 30,000 miles on it.

I keep an eye out for routine maintenance and general

That’s roughly San Francisco to Los Angeles +30 miles, I drive I used to make for work every few weeks. As an American, my tolerance for long drives starts to fall apart at around 10 hours.

I love manual cars, but when I had my 2003 Lincoln Town Car and 1955 Chevy with column shifts, there was so much more room for “activities.” Why not bring back the manual column shift? I rock the hell out of one of those.

I got a great deal on a year-old 2014 FoST with the ST3 package. I’ve had it a year trouble-free. No squeaks, rattles, or malfunctions. Build quality on cars like these have come a LONG WAY, especially in American cars.

I looked at FiSTs, but the extra power, space, and options on the FoST sold me. The FiST is the

If they continued that piano black surface over the toilet seat, it wouldn’t look nearly as shitty. And up the center console, too, dammit! This “random exposed interior carbon trim piece that doesn’t do anything” shit needs to stop.

Some of dat contrasting stitching on the shifter and boot might be nice, too.

Automophobes?

Leela: Did you drive much in the 20th century, Fry?

I had one without the Grand Sport package, and that thing could MOVE! That “330 horsepower” rating is seriously low. Stock cars can put down that number at the wheels. I think 370-380 at the crank is closer to the truth.

Great video! A 1984 Porsche 944 in Guards Red over black leather with 46,000 miles on it was my first car in high school back in 1995. I loved that thing and ran it up to 135,000 miles before it finally gave up and I had to sell it. I’m sure it’s scrap by now, but hopefully some parts are living on somewhere.

So many

I’ve heard something similar, too: “If you don’t know how long it will take, guess, then double that, then double that again.” A single eight hour day turns into four.

Since you referenced older cars, it’s got to be a Delahaye 165 with bodywork by Figoni et Falaschi.

Why can’t it be possible for a brand this size to cater to everyone? I’m a 35-year-old man child, so I drive tuned Focus ST (which is a riot in the winter), but if I want to, I can buy a Fusion and then a Taurus. And maybe even an SUV if I need it.

I think brand loyalty starts at the accessible cars and goes from there
