This assumes that people wanted him just because he’s Black. He’s a suave English guy! It’s hardly just a Black version of a white guy thing just because the other hundred Bonds were all white—the series is meant (at this point) to be rebooted with different actors.

It’s not a “black version” it’s another actor playing a role. Good god this was a stupid take.

If I may suggest one thing it would be a change of title to “tweets joke with transphobic history/connotations” as I think that may more accurately reflect the situation as we know it without enflaming it while still conveying the troubled history of the phrase.

Please, explain how a ‘joke’ mocking people who might take issue with being misgendered isn’t transphobic?

No, the tweet itself was not transphobic. If you actually read it in context it’s actually the opposite. Someone got “triggered” (that is one of the dumbest sayings these days) so they apoligized to the vast majority who can’t read or comprehend meanings.

It’s a phrase used by white knights trying to defend people who didn’t need or ask for defending. It seems like it’s mocking those people, not trans people.

honestly these days you cant say anything without someone thinking your offending someone. usually when the person is calling that out, they arnt part of the community they think someone is offending.

That tweet wasn't transphobic.

What part gave you that impression? I definitely think it’s better than the first. Almost all of the slack from the original, which I didn’t even realize until going back and replaying some of it, is gone in the sequel. It feels like they took a classic car and replaced it top to bottom with brand new parts.

It's just to appear over-the-top dramatic and to get attention.

what does attraction have to do with anything? Such a hypocrite.

im going to frame this and hang it on my office wall

Grace has received an “angry and aggressive” phone call from someone recently who called him a “gay slur”

Hi, Filip, how’s the job search going?

Thays not how it works, getting married doesn't mean you automatically get to stay beyond the visa that got you here.  From the story, she never had a visa to get here, so applying for a green card isn't enough to stay, without a visa they are supposed to go back to their country and wait for the change of status to

on one hand, I agree. on the other, there’s an entire other ecosystem largely divorced from the world of traditional reporting that’s *actually* keeping him relevant, and I doubt that this post’s existence has much bearing on that. so in this particular instance, I figure why not make fun of this extremely 2018 farce

I like how all of your extremely shitty replies to me apply way more to you than they do to me.

It just looks a lot like you’re being an idiot and bitching about a boycott that doesn’t exist.

We have to be able to separate art from artist if we’re ever going to appreciate anything

please, stop it, stop this stupid "i must find some hidden meaning in something that doesn't have a meaning". it's the same as the people who read stuff into The Lord of the Rings, some connection to WWII and stuff like that, even though Tolkien explicitely states in the foreword that there is NO deeper/hidden meaning
