For maximum obscurity, today we have here this Oushan COS1° by Changan Automobile.
Well, maybe this series isn’t quite dead yet :)
After much delay since part 2, I bring you part 3 (and unfortunately probably the last) of the series. I think we’ve run out of makes/models that come and go vs. what Tomica has produced over the years. Enjoy.
While not a Tomica product, this has been making its rounds on Tomica collector pages recently, due to the fact that it lends itself nicely to Tomica’s Initial D cars. I finally got my hands on one.
You have a first world problem when you’re struggling to figure out what Tomica to put in your official store display case. :P
In Part 1, I kicked off a new hobby/game of mine whereby I see a random parked car on the street from my window and try to dig up the corresponding Tomica.
So I recently scored this Tomica Jaguar XJ-S racing at a very reasonable price on ebay:
While the quality of modern-day Tomica cannot be compared to those of the yesteryear, one long-standing and unique aspect of Tomica (compared to other contemporary manufacturers) is that you can find a lot of bread-and-butter cars in the lineup.
I used to be able to remember exactly what I have in my collection. However, I’ve clearly aged, in that I totally forgot about this unremarkable piece in my collection, until I recently saw a familiar looking post on ebay...
Got this for fairly cheap off ebay recently (thanks to zero incremental shipping). The condition is clearly reflected in the price:
So this fixer-upper black 911 came in the mail recently. This is slightly less common compared to the lime green variant which I have as well.
Hello everyone! Depending on when you joined, I may be a familiar face, or perhaps I’m new to you. Either way, I’ve been busy this year including a house move. But I’m finally settling down, and I got to re-do my Tomica dioramas while I’m at it.
Today, we have here this Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat from Hot Wheels.
Today, we have this bronze first-generation Civic. This one came up in a conversation today so I figured I’d dig it out for a quick review.
I acquired this sorry-looking Corolla sedan recently.
Today, we have an oddball from my collection. The Tomicarama Pit Stop.
Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone here. What better way to celebrate than to give one of my Tomica a new lease of life?
I recently acquired from ebay this older generation Mitsubishi Pajero, sporting what I would presume is some sort of Paris-Dakar rally livery.
Apologies for the lack in frequency of my recent posts. Things have been extremely busy outside of my Tomica life. That said, I’ve still been reading and occasionally commenting all this time. :)
