I'm curious as to what Pixels per inch ratio does it make no difference for humans when holding the screen at a normal distance away. I remember reading an article on Gizmodo when HDTVs were the new thing and people were confused about 720p, 1080i, 1080p, blurays and hddvds, that said at normal TV viewing distance you

For those worried about the multitude of rules I feel they can be summarised into: not being rude, being understanding and being fair+reasonable.

@Josh_Geyer: It took me ages to get a star. I find that if you are one of the first to comment (and not in the bad way) with something insightful, witty or interesting, it helps as that is when the author is most likely reading the comments. That's not to say don't comment on older articles because otherwise there

Wow! It is actually something I can use. I may leave uk Gizmodo. Although I feel that using the new layout supports Nick Denton's I'm right, you'll see. I shall wait until hearting and the commenting system is fixed and will cope with improperly formated images on uk gizmodo.

@JesusChrist: This depresses me. That channel was there to make people smile and I don't think Mishka has offended any hackers to warrant hacking.

As long as Microsoft does not reduce support for its competitors' devices (Macs, iPhones, Androids, PlayStations etc.), keeps Skype separate to Windows Live Messenger and doesn't change the pricing of calls. I am fine with this. Unfortunately I can see at least one of these things happening.

Actually Spotify users have less reason to use Spotify. As they have imposed very tight limits on play counts and play time on all free users (even ones from the original free Beta).

$26 seems fairly pricey for a tiny bit of metal and rubber. But that's my 2 pence worth.

@Ryan_Long: i'm assuming mobile device refers to mobile phone the British (and therefore correct way) of saying cell phone.

I wonder if they have fixed the lack of wi-fi range (due to poor antenna placement) experienced in last september's iMacs.

yeah good point. There must be someone has been hit by all 4 of these recent privacy invasions

I'd hate to be a Yankee season ticket holder, who uses PSN and comments on the Gawker network.

Kunming was the place I saw them. I woke up in the morning thinking someone had a really loud singing birthday card!

when i was in china i saw less ridiculous one but they played "happy birthday" as the warning siren.

I'm so glad the COO of a big company is saying this. I do Economics at university and my lecturer for Securities Markets (who used to work as a banker in the City) kept going on about the financial cost to the markets, not once showing any sympathy for the human cost.

I know, these are both ridiculous cases of similar design. I was just showing examples of what companies would probably sue over when they get threatened by each other. I don't reckon Sony are suing over these designs, but I imagine it would. The cynic in me says if the products were released in the other order Apple

When it becomes such minor design details such as this maybe Sony should sue Apple for these things I've always noticed.

Downloading my 5 videos (from 2006) off Google Video. Feeling a bit nostalgic.

My dad coming home and showing me the Hamster Dance. At this point I didn't really know what the Internet was and only used the computer to play Lego Island.
