As long as Microsoft does not reduce support for its competitors' devices (Macs, iPhones, Androids, PlayStations etc.), keeps Skype separate to Windows Live Messenger and doesn't change the pricing of calls. I am fine with this. Unfortunately I can see at least one of these things happening.

Actually Spotify users have less reason to use Spotify. As they have imposed very tight limits on play counts and play time on all free users (even ones from the original free Beta).

I'm so glad the COO of a big company is saying this. I do Economics at university and my lecturer for Securities Markets (who used to work as a banker in the City) kept going on about the financial cost to the markets, not once showing any sympathy for the human cost.
