In the UK we are not allowed to drive without a headset or handsfree by law. I'm guessing it means that with one of these you have hands available for both the steering wheel and for gear changes without having to compromise by using one to hold the phone.

@Hello Mister Walrus: I find that on airline like this economy is bog standard so they still get enough people to fly with them. I flew with Qatar in the summer and although their adverts show very luxurious features the economy is what you expect from a flagship airlines economy class.
