Christopher Walken understands.
Yes, they are pricey. I hear an 80" Elite is coming out soon for about the same amount as the 70" right now.
I'll have to check one out. I want one that slowly builds in intensity...
Ah, I remember that 16:9 Wega! That's a pretty rare unit. How big is the screen size on it? I assume it's 1080i? It was out of my price range at the time, so I went for the 36 inch 4:3 Wega model. Both CRTs looked great, and the speakers on these beasts have awesome bass. My Wega weighs about 300 pounds.
OK, now add a Zombie mod to this, and we're set.
A cataclysm of untold proportions.
That would be heart attack-inducing.
Great information, thank you! I have yet to see what the Kuro hype is about, but once I see one it will give me perspective with comparison to my Sony Wega CRT (which I love).
Question: none of these new TVs are plasma?
GTA IV Zombie DLC, please.
Here's the companion video
Charlie, great article. Thank you!
You picked correctly. Plasma is best for image quality.
Numerous science fiction films have used actual space footage already. This isn't really a new thing...although I guess the intent to use the ISS as an actual set would make it a first.
That's not Iron Man, that's Lego Man.
And James Earl Jones: $7000 for voicing Darth Vader in Star Wars.
OK, replying to myself because Sam's reply was too short. I assume from your statement that the Kuro still dominates the ones you saw this year at CES.
That Gyrotourbillon watch is amazing. It looks like something the Illuminati would wear.
Sam, all hype aside, how do these TVs compare to the legendary Kuro, picture-wise?
