It could get tricky for sure. Since a drone can change direction on a whim, leading it would be problematic. One thing that a drone frequently does that a duck doesn’t is hover. As long as it’s hovering, it’s like a sitting duck. The accuracy of a flying net would still be a concern.

What I find crazy is that the cost of that one ship could pay for all six Coast Guard icebreakers at $1 bil each, as well as having enough left to buy four National Security Cutters at $500 mil each, 10 Fast Response Cutters at $68 mil each and still have money for some small boats and aircraft!

The US certainly doesn’t need more aircraft carriers, but as many people have already commented, carriers provide the US air superiority that is unparalleled to any country in the world.
