I’m looking forward to her new movie (Lifetime later this month) in which she plays Kitty Menendez (mother of Lyle & Eric). As messy as she is, she’s a damn fine actress when she pulls it together every few years to actually work.

I am not sure whether this trend of hiring women directors/writers for films about superheroines is a positive trend or not. It will certainly raise the profile of these ladies but it smacks of limiting women talents to “women’s films” even in this particular genre.
