It is actually quite convenient in the work setting. I get a buzz at my phone, and I look bad having to pull out my phone to see what it is. Looking at a watch is a lot more covert. Also, if it works over wifi I can leave my phone charging at my desk and still know if I get an important call while in a meeting.

You need to be able to daisy chain them and invent the Apple Necklace

eh only sort of. I have a pebble steel and notifications stop appearing probably three-four times a week. Yet phone calls always work.

By next year there will be refurbs available for ~$50 less and tons of third party straps will exist. A $300 Apple Watch Sport with a $30 stainless steel plated strap actually seems decent for this.

eh by next year there will be refurb models plus third party straps. My guess is an Apple Watch Sport with steel bracelet will be about $350 and Stainless Steel refurb would be about $450

I am pretty sure the sport is compatible with the stainless steel and leather straps to make it look a little more professional looking.

On the Apple Store, it goes up to $17,000.... jeeze. And the first Apple Watch without a sport band is $699. Crazy

Did they get rid of the 15 inch Macbook Pro? It wasn't mentioned or updated at all...

I have one male friend who is desperately single and always puts, to quote 40 y/o virgin, the pussy on a pedestal. Can I PLEASE share this thread with him to show women are as fucked up as guys?

Get a comfy pillow. Ideally, you've snagged a window seat for your red-eye flight and can curl up against it for the next eight hours. But if you're stuck in the middle, invest in a travel pillow. Wear those U-shaped neck pillows backwards, so that your head won't bob forward or sideways as the ride gets bumpy.

There are also countless apps that have not been moved to the web yet and are still running Swing. From a corporate perspective, why spend tens of thousands of dollars to replace an app that still works? Annoying to support from a developer perspective.

Yeah we never had a bar car so you are spoiled. I will say with the new Taste NY stands and my hour commute, I can get a (pretty decent) beer, drink it and be completely sober by the time I get to my station to drive home.

To get technical, the trains still running on New Haven lines are the M2 trains- they went into production in the 70's. They look close enough to the M1 train (which metro north stopped running about 10 years ago) that they could get away with it.

yeah I see the schedule for the three new haven branches and it is like one train an hour- it is pretty terrible. I think it is the Danbury branch that is so bad that there are busses that goes from Ridgefield to Katonah and I think another one from Danbury to Southeast. Even though those two CT towns are on train

articles like this validate why I work in the tech department of a larger company. Do I work on the absolute latest and greatest technology? No. Is there free beer and a ping pong table? Nope.

What train do you take? That is actually one thing I can't complain about... I take the Metro North train that normally runs to Southeast (Harlem line) and there are maybe 2 or three people standing by the doors.

it's not just the subway.. Metro North and LIRR also. I'm sure the busses are as well.

You know, as a New Yorker, when I visited St. Louis, I kind of got this feeling throughout the area. Everyone is so nice to you, but you can totally tell that behind the fake smile and innocence, they hate you but don't want to show it and be impolite. Be honest dammit! If you don't like me, tell me to my damn

considering they partnered with MLB and I've never seen MLB.tv or WatchESPN (also on MLB's platform) crash, I doubt it.

they do show movies... New releases for some of the studios, and older ones. Go to hbogo.com or download the HBO go app. You don't need to register to see what is available
